Properly incorporate technology within consult and conference spaces to allow for on-site consults and telemedicine capability with off-site locations. Wanted to ensure that installation was considered with all disciplines: architect, engineer, users, patients.
Success
Northstar spearheaded working groups to fully understand the current and future usage models. Northstar utilized mock set-ups and elevations developed by architect to properly select and place electronic equipment, furniture, artwork, and other clinical support items in the space. This allowed cabling to be hidden to provide a clean installation, proper location of artwork and furniture to allow in-room consults and telemedicine consults whereby the clinician did not appear they were in a closet but in their professional space providing a professional consult.
